The List of Intangible Elements of Traditional Folk Culture
In December 2024, the Hořice Passion Play was entered into The List of Intangible Elements of Traditional Folk Culture of the Czech Republic. The list is maintained by the National Institute of Folk Culture – an institution dedicated to the care and preservation of traditional folk culture.
Nomination to the UNESCO List
The Hořice Passion Plays are currently being prepared for nomination to The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO). This initiative aims to highlight the unique cultural and historical significance of the tradition and ensure its preservation for future generations.
